I Will Wait On The Lord

Waiting ... Waiting

To catch everyone up; I had surgery on Wednesday, April 28th to place a new feeding tube. After about a week at home, the pain was very severe and the surgical site was oozing a continuous stream of discharge. I was admitted to the hospital last Wednesday and while the doctors tweak new things each day, the oozing and pain continue. I have developed nausea and vomiting, along with intermittent fevers. Yesterday I let myself get down and frustrated. At the same time I was bombarded with texts from family and friends to remind me that God has a plan in this. My nursing staff has been phenomenal which has brought me great comfort. However, my greatest comfort would be to see my husband, who is not allowed to visit because of COVID regulations. We miss each other daily as now a week as gone by

The news today is that I am probably headed back to surgery to see if they can find the cause of the drainage. There is a chance I can go to Interventional Radiology which is a bit less invasive. I would ask prayers for my heart and that in the waiting I will find rejoicing.

Rejoicing ... Rejoicing

In His Grace,

Lee

Precious friend I lift you up to the Lord in it all!! May He comfort and sustain you every minute of the day and night and fill you with Hope! Much love from Andy and me

sandra henry:

I'm so sorry that you're back in the hospital. Praying that the IR works and you can go home to your sweet man soon. Love you both.

Jim Dickson:

OK, that's it ! I'm going down to Olympia and stand on King Inslee's desk, and tell him to get his act together so that people who are in the hospital who have been vaccinated can have family visit who have also been vaccinated. Otherwise, what the heck is the vaccine good for? And it sounds like you need as good a plumber as you have a beautician, cuz you lookin' good, girl ! Always remember my motto - "You never know how strong you can be, until being strong is the only option you have left". Hang in there, and I'll see you soon. Lots of positive energy your way ! Jim

Elizabeth Holmes:

Praying for you and your family and that you and your husband can be reunited soon.

Eunice Goodwin:

Prayers are going up for both you and Steve! My heart breaks for you but I know our good God has His hand on you as you go through one more trial. Eunice

Molly Deines:

Man, Lee, the strength and steadfastness the Lord has produced in you is quite astounding. I am desperate for your pain to end, for your husband to be at your side!! I hope you can find something to rejoice in. Maybe the jello at the hospital will be really good. Maybe you can remember how you were faithful to speak truth to a 20 year old dummy

(that's me) and now she is married to a wonderful man of God and has two babies and a third on the way. Maybe that's something to rejoice in. God's faithfulness to you in this day translates to your faithfulness to me which translates to my faithfulness to my hubby and to God. Rejoicing, rejoicing.

Jenifer Germer:

Lee, I had this happen to me. I had developed an internal abdominal abscess. They took me to radiology and hit it with a CT guided drain so they didn't have to open me up. Pain before it was unbearable. Antibiotics can't get to an abscess because there is no blood flow in it. Please keep us posted.

Crystal Van Tine:

Oh, Lee, what a trial compounded by the trial of not having the face-to-face comfort and support of your wonderful husband. My heart goes out to you, and my soul cries out to our Lord for His strength and His comfort for you in the midst of all this.

Bruce Ensign:

Sorry to read about your continued struggles, Lee. I imagine it isn't easy for Steve to be dis-allowed to visit either. Like Jim (above), I wonder why people who are fully vacinated can't visit people in their time of need and encouragement. Thank you for sharing with us so we know how to more specifically pray for you both. Praying for the surgery, resolution of the drainage, for comfort (both you and Steve), and for full and rapid recovery. Bruce

Kelly Anderson:

Praying for your healing my precious friend, I love you! You look radiant and Jesus is shining thru you in your suffering, I am asking the Lord to give you relief from this continual trial. Thank you for the update. Give Steve our love ❤😘
